My background is a unique blend of leadership, technical training, and instructional design, shaped by nearly two decades of real-world experience across the military, private sector, and federal government.

I started my professional journey in the military, where I developed strong leadership skills and a passion for training others. That passion led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English and begin work in the education field, including partnering with a small business to create training for flight attendants—my first taste of designing learning experiences for adult professionals.

As my career progressed, I took on roles that deepened my instructional design expertise. At the University of Phoenix, I worked directly with adult learners in a higher education setting. From there, I joined GENCO Systems, Inc. as a full-time instructional designer, where I developed both web-based and instructor-led training for air traffic controllers and airway technicians. During this time, I also earned a Master of Education in Instructional Design, which enhanced my ability to build effective, learner-focused content.

My success at GENCO led to a role at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where I served as an instructional design lead and training program manager. I oversaw training for multiple technical disciplines, managing complex programs that directly supported national aviation operations. I also earned a Master’s in Management and Leadership, equipping me with the skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive training initiatives from concept to completion.

Now, as a freelance instructional designer and consultant, I help businesses and organizations build impactful training programs that support their people and their performance goals. I bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset to every engagement—and I know how to deliver training that works in the real world.
